Our names are Shayla Ellis and Alishia Ellis Heaston. We are sisters originally from Memphis, TN.
Our career experience working with the special need’s population has led us down the path to opening a We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym. Shayla has a Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with 15 years of experience who delivers ABA therapy services to children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. She has had over 7 years’ experience in Management as a Director of Behavior Operations for 2 organizations. Alishia has a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University. She is a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with over 20 years of experience working with a variety of populations including special needs and geriatric clients. She currently owns Living Without Limits Home Modification and Accessibility, LLC. We both have a sincere passion for working with individuals with disabilities. As a BCBA and OT, we have seen firsthand how parents with children with autism often limit their community access. Often times as clinicians, we have worked with children who were kicked out of public spaces due to their behavior. We often hear cries of families who feel alienated and alone because they cannot leave their home with their child to do everyday tasks such going to the grocery store and other play centers without fear of a meltdown and judgement from others. We were excited to learn of this franchise opportunity to own a We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym. As the tagline says, “Finally a place where you never have to say “I’m Sorry”. We are honored to provide this resource to parents and children in this community.
